Offline demonstration auction
The best way to see what will be on offer, is to select the above link and try the simple demonstration program. It gives you a chance to practice bidding using the new system.

System requirements
The auction system uses a lot more than basic web pages, if you have trouble getting things to run, please select the above link to go to the system requirements page.

Registration page
Unless the system is very busy, you can watch the auction over the Internet without registering, but if you want to bid, you need to register for Internet bidding. Registration is free, but you will need to do it well ahead of the auction. Selecting the above link will take you to the registration page.

Multiple items
The offline demo offers all the information you need to bid on most lots, however there are special bidding systems for multiple items, new users should follow the above link to find out how to bid on groups of multiple items.

Live auction webcast

Evans Clarke National is using Interbid Live, to webcast selected live auctions, so even when you can't get to an auction you can still bid over the Internet. Interbid has performed over 200 webcasts in Adelaide and Sydney over the last two years. At last count 300 people have registered to bid over the Internet.

To go to a webcast go back to the Evans Clarke National front page and click on the word "Webcast" as shown in the picture below.

It is as simple as registering once with your details to set up your account and then when the auction is coming up you go online and log on to participate. Use the regstration page tab to the left to register at any time. These auctions are very fast, on low value items there is not enough time to bid in the normal fashion one increment at a time. But there is time to use the bid stack to set a limit as high as you are comfortable and have the system bid for you, till you win the lot or your limit is passed. Your limit is not shown to the other bidders, not the webcaster, nor the auctioneer, they only see the individual bids. This really is the only way to bid, if you are unsure, why not practice with the offline demo before the auction.

Bidders should be aware of Evans Clarke National terms and conditions which include a 2% surcharge on credit cards and the need to pick up goods within 24 hours of the completion of the auction for most sales, except for speciality sales. At most auctions a Buyer's Premium of 12.5% inc GST is added to the hammer price, please confirm the buyers premium rate and collection details in the auction catalogue prior to the sale.
