About Calèche -  Calèche began in 1973 from the fashion capital of Paris to the illustrious bay of Sydney Harbour, when Colette Foubert sailed to Australia with her husband Olivier and their four children.Making their way to Adelaide with humble beginnings, Colette started the business with one machinist, some patterns and rolls of fabric spread across the floor. She was the designer, Olivier the cutter. For five years, they travelled the country visiting every township that had a drapery or fashion store until agents offered to promote their range in every capital city and regional centre of Australia. As Caleche flourished and their four children grew up, they each in turn joined the family business. Eventually these hand-crafted gowns from the Caleche workrooms in Norwood were being sold in selected stores Australia-wide as well as in boutiques across France and Italy. Sons Herve and Eric now carry on the business into the second generation.

 Calèche have donated dozens of beautiful wedding gowns and evening wear to Minda over the past 10 years in support of South Australians with disability. Minda are extremely grateful for the generosity of Calèche and support from Eric Foubert, Director and the Calèche team. It’s a great example of South Australian businesses coming together for the common good.
