Julia Hill 2018 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon - 12x750ml
Vintage 2018 was outstanding, sufficient sunlight and warm autumn days maximized the quality potential of the moderately cropping vines. A special parcel of fruit was reserved for the Julia Hill label. It was harvested a week earlier that normal so as to retain more primary fruit characters.
Colour: Deep, rich red with purple and plum coloured hues.
Nose: Cassis, spicy, plum and chocolate with a hint of mint.
Palate: Velvety, ripe an fleshy berry fruit flavours with a lingering astringency rounded off with a touch of vanilla and mint aftertaste.
A very youthful wine that will develop into a softer, richer, complex individual as time goes on. Should peak at around 2023.
